Our company RAJ IBELIK has expanded its portfolio with a new product — hollow core slabs. Prestressed “hollow core slabs” are prefabricated interfloor structural elements.

For the production of “hollow core slabs” ECHO technology is applied — the plates are cast with a Slip Former machine. Production takes place on the runways with the help of sliding pavers that form cross-sectional slabs that have continuous cavities. The production width of the plates is 120 cm. We have installed 3 production runways in the factory — each runway is 120 m long.

Reducing the weight of the slab is achieved by internal cavities extending along the entire “hollow core slab”. The type of slab and weighting is determined based on the span and load. After the assembly of the “hollow core slab” monolitization is done. “Hollow core slab” can bridge large spans without supports. The weight of these slabs is significantly less (up to 50%) than classic monolithic slabs — which reduces the dimensions of other structural elements. For the convenience of fitting “hollow core slabs” when forming an interfloor structure, the slabs can be cut lengthwise. The cutting width is determined by static calculation. Flexibility in the use of boards is also achieved by cutting to any length.

The production process of prestressed hollow core slabs is automated which reduces the required number of workers in the production facility. The assembly does not require a supporting scaffold but the assembly is done directly from the vehicle. The use of these slabs in construction reduces the cost of construction and operation of structures.

Prestressed hollow core slabs have a wide application and can be combined with prefabricated RC structures, monolithic RC structures as well as steel structures.
